FAQs

  • Is Camden Municipal Airport open after hours?

Yes. Airport access, terminal access, and self-serve fuel are available 24/7. Staffed support is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend, holiday, and after-hours support can be coordinated with advance notice.

  • What fuel is available at KCDH?

KCDH offers 100LL and Jet A+. Self-serve fuel is available 24 hours with credit card access. For planned turbine and corporate arrivals, Jet A+ truck fueling is also available on request.

  • Is hangar space available for overnight aircraft?

Yes. KCDH has a 10,000-square-foot community hangar available for overnight aircraft. Call ahead when possible so the airport can coordinate space, access, and any related fueling or transportation support.

  • Do you offer truck-served Jet A+ fueling?

Yes. In addition to 24/7 self-serve fuel, the airport can provide Jet A+ through a 3,000-gallon refueler with single-point fueling available on request.

  • Can KCDH support turbine and business aircraft?

Yes. KCDH combines a 6,502-foot runway, 24/7 airport and terminal access, self-serve 100LL and Jet A+, on-request Jet A+ truck service, courtesy transportation, and overnight hangar capability. Larger corporate arrivals can also be supported with wing walkers, marshallers, and follow-me parking assistance when planned in advance.

  • Are crew cars available?

Yes. KCDH currently offers two crew cars: a 2017 three-row Ford Explorer and an older Toyota Camry that is still suitable for around-town errands and short local trips. Keys stay in the vehicles, and users are asked to return them with a full tank of gas for the next person.

  • Are rental cars available in Camden?

Local rental options in Camden are limited. The airport’s local transportation sheet lists The Shine Shop / Rick Walker as a vehicle source at 870-866-9678, and the airport courtesy cars are also part of the ground-support value. If a major-brand rental vehicle is needed, the best approach is to reserve in advance from a regional market such as Texarkana, El Dorado, or Little Rock and confirm pickup or delivery options directly with the provider.

  • Is there an on-field mechanic?

The airport is actively working to establish a relationship with an independent on-field aircraft mechanic. Until that is in place, maintenance help should be coordinated through airport staff and local or regional support contacts.

  • Is private hangar space available?

No. There is currently no private hangar space available. All existing units are leased. The long-term hangar plan is to construct T-hangars after the terminal expansion is complete.

  • Does KCDH charge landing fees or ramp fees?

No. Camden Municipal Airport does not charge landing fees or ramp fees for general aviation.

  • Can I fly in for star spangled spectacular?

Yes. Star Spangled Spectacular is held at Camden Municipal Airport every Fourth of July. Pilots can fly in, enjoy the festivities, watch the show from the airport, and depart afterward without ever needing to leave airport property. A TFR typically begins 30 minutes before the show and ends 30 minutes after the show, so pilots should always confirm current FAA notices and event timing before flying.

  • Where can I check current fuel prices and airport information?

We keep fuel pricing current across ForeFlight, GlobalAir, and AirNav. Pilots and operators can also use the KCDH- specific aviation resources listed below for fuel prices, airport data, procedures, and live traffic information.
